Unit Weekly News 10-16 March 2025

Greetings parents, 

THANKYOU for your support with Fierce Fox Meet practices, rehearsals and transporting your cadets to ARHS at 0530am yesterday.  Our cadets did an amazing job hosting 13 schools for Fierce Fox Meet 2025!  The weather was fantastic and the 6 simultaneous competitions went off without a hitch.  I received many compliments from fellow instructors.  To all the Booster and parent volunteers who supported breakfast for cadets, breakfast for judges, and lunch for 450+ students, parents and coaches — THANK YOU!!  We couldn't have been successful without your support!

Shout out to our Cyber Team who will be recognized by the Dorchester District 2 School Board tomorrow at the 6pm monthly meeting for achieving their 4th consecutive 1st place ranking out of 35 South Carolina teams and for earning 4th place nationally out of 230 AFJROTC teams!  This is a reflection of their hard work and character and a testament to their coaches from The Citadel, NIWC and former ARHS SASI Maj Clark.  Cyber team will travel via bus after Monday's practice to the school board meeting at 815 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483.  Parents  — you are welcome to attend the 6pm meeting, please pickup your cadets at 6:20 pm from the DD2 office. 

Important announcement:  our HQ AFJROTC unit assessment has been postponed due to unplanned actions implemented by the Department of Defense.  Cadets will report to their normally scheduled 1st period classes on Wednesday — there will NOT be a unit mass inspection.  Our cadets were well prepared and looking sharp, as expected!
