Unit Weekly News 13 - 19 March

Greetings all,

Congratulations to our cadets who trekked 14 miles in honor of those American and Philippino Service Members who accomplished the Bataan Death March on April 9, 1942. 40 cadets participated in this annual event at James Island Park, joining with thousands of JROTC cadets from all branches of service across our nation to commemorate this event. A special thanks to James Island AFJROTC for hosting us, I’m very proud of our wing members for supporting this noteworthy endeavor and fulfilling this physical challenge.

Also – congratulations to our entire wing for their achievement with our annual Unit Assessment. The entire corps of cadets formed up for mass inspection on 9 March, followed by a 30 count drill sequence--led and participated in by representatives of our 2d year cadet class. The corps passed with shining colors and impressed our inspector, who spent the entire day assessing cadets and digging into our programs. Truly well deserved and a job well done!
