Unit Weekly News 22-28 Jan

Greetings Parents,

We are less than 1 week from hosting Fierce Fox Meet 2024! Parents are welcome to come out to watch. Competition starts at 0845 (air rifle at 0730) and finishes by 2pm. The awards ceremony will shortly follow the conclusion of events. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the weather. Our cadets have put in a lot of work with planning, prep and rehearsals and will be working hard for a very long day from 0600-1530 – a very long day.

Congratulations again to our Cyber Team who competed in the National Semi-Finals yesterday at The Citadel. Preliminary scoring placed them in 4th nationally against all other AFJROTC units nationwide and the score is yet to be updated with scores from other elements of the competition. Additionally, Cyber Team parents are welcome to attend the DD2 School Board meeting Monday night at 6pm to watch the recognition ceremony for Cyber Team placing 1st in South Carolina. Cadets will be released at approximately 6:15pm.
