Unit Weekly News for 12 - 18 May 2025

Parents and Guardians,

Thank you so much for everyone who attended this past week’s Annual Awards Ceremony, Change of Command and Senior Recognition ceremony.  We are so proud of our graduating seniors and for our entire Corps of Cadets for their outstanding engagement and achievements across academic year 2024-2025.

Reminder for seniors and any cadets not planning to return to AFJROTC in AY25-26, uniforms need to be dry cleaned and returned to avoid fees (costs exceed $500 to replace uniforms).  The light blue shirts & OCPs may be washed, however the dark blue items (Service coat, slacks, lightweight jacket) must be dry cleaned.

This Monday, our entire unit is being recognized by the DD2 School Board and Superintendent for scoring a 95.5 on our annual inspection.  Command Staff will be in attendance to represent our unit.  Parents and families are welcome to attend – 6pm at the DD2 district office at 815 S Main St.

Also, thank you to Mr & Mrs Lee and Mrs Bausch for preparing and serving the food during Field Day.  The rain didn’t dampen any spirits or activities and the cadets closed out the semester with lots of fun and competitions.

The remaining item on our radar is the Cadet Leadership Course at the Citadel.  Cadre and Basics needs to continue to participate in after or pre-school conditioning workouts plus drill training for the 30 count.  CLC training will continue until May 22d.
