Unit Weekly News for 13-19 April 2026

Greetings Parents & Guardians,

The week is finally upon us – Our Field Trip (CIA) to the Big Apple departs on Thursday!  We’re excited for the opportunities for this year’s trip!  It will be amazing!

Congratulations to our cyber team for their performance at this year’s 2026 Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition.  10 of the top high school teams around the region competed by defending their networks against live hackers – problem solving challenges typically found across a two year period condensed into 6 straight hours.  We are proud of our team and look forward to 2027!

Update on CLC Prep Team – 30 count drill training won’t begin until 27 April.  Until then, cadets need to focus on registration paperwork (due 30 April), fitness training 3 times per week (including in-flight PT – only 1 team workout available this week), studying the CLC Basic guide and memorizing the 30 count drill sequence.  Fees for CLC are $275 for Basics & $305 for Cadre (due 1 May – includes lodging, food, and all fees for the week).  We will hold a parents information meeting at ARHS on 28 April.  Congratulations to our Cadet Branden Jarvis Mixer Legacy Scholarship recipients – Sebastian Cheney and Christian McKenzie and also our CLC Cadre Scholarship recipient – Jordann Mette!

Save the date – ALL cadets, parents and families are invited to attend our annual Change of Command and National Awards Presentation Ceremony to be held on 30 April 2026 in the ARHS Auditorium from 1800-1900 (6-7pm).

Graduating Seniors – New deadline of 21 April for the remaining three x $1,000 Booster and Clark Gracious Foundation scholarships (see attached)

Booster Elections – will be held this Tuesday at 6pm in JROTC – all booster parents may vote, all parents welcome to attend.
