Unit Weekly News for 9-15 October

Good evening parents,

I’d like to start out with a big thank you to all of you and our cadets. SnapRaise is approaching the halfway point and our cadets have already raised nearly $2,000 more than we raised through the entire campaign last year. Our current total is $22,393! We are well on our way to exceeding our goal of $25,000. This money completely funds our extra curricular teams, in school activities, local field trips and booster scholarships. Plus it goes a long way enabling cadets to attend our spring Field Trip to Washington DC. Thank you so much for your support.

Our unit is in full swing. Congratulations to our Raider team for their performance at the Timberland Raider Meet. They will have back-to-back meets with the Stratford meet coming up next weekend October 14th.

Also – if your cadet is supporting the St George’s Church Pumpkin Patch community service event on Saturday – PLEASE NOTE, the drop off/pick up location is at St George’s Episcopal church, located at 9110 Dorchester Rd, Summerville, SC 29485. The Parent Permission slip that was sent home is incorrect – Cadets need to be dropped off and picked up at St George’s church, we will not have a bus to transport cadets to this event. My apologies for the error with the permission slip.

Parents are invited to join the booster club meeting – the October meeting is this Tuesday at 6pm in JROTC room F120 (enter through the bus loop door adjacent to JROTC)
